As part of our "Varieties in Focus" series, this course allows you to deep-dive into the Prince of reds of the Margaret River region, Shiraz. Sometimes named using the French "Syrah" to denote a more sublte European style, this wine deserves to be assess in its regional context rather than compared to the riper examples from warmer climaes.
This 2-hour course offers information on key clones, tips on how Shiraz is managed in the vineyard and the range of techniques used in the winery to craft the unique profile produced in the South West of Western Australia. You'll also enjoy a tasting of some delicious Shiraz at the end of the lesson.
